Tuesday Turn About #12: Tablescapes and Kitchen Makeovers

Please support this site by sharing!

Welcome to Tuesday Turn About #12! I can feel it…fall crafts and decor are slowly starting to appear! Are you ready for pumpkin everything and cooler weather? Here’s some late summer decor inspiration to ease the transition…

Let’s grow together! Part of what drew me to my current “tribe” (where I met Julie and Michelle) was how supportive they were across social media. Consider making some new friends this week by 1) commenting on someone else’s blog, 2) following someone new on Instagram or 3) following another blogger’s Facebook page.

This month, my twin boys will start KINDERGARTEN! It will be a big change for the whole family and very bittersweet for me personally. I’m looking forward to having more time to work, but I also feel like my babies are growing too quickly. *sigh*

Meet Your Link Party Hostesses

Each week, I co-host this party with Julie from My Wee Abode and Michelle from Thistle Key Lane. Be sure to visit each of their blogs and check out the different posts they selected as well.

Also, I encourage you to follow us on social media to stay in the know!

This Week’s Link Party Features: Summer Tablescapes and a Kitchen Makeover

As a reminder, we choose three unique features on each of our blogs! Be sure to check out all three blogs to see our nine weekly features! We always appreciate your comments and love knowing what’s going on in your lives.

Also, we have a Tuesday Turn About Pinterest board that includes all of our weekly features, if you’d like to follow along.

This week, two tablescapes stood out to me along with a very beautiful shiplap kitchen makeover. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did.

Holly from Home with Holliday is the queen of tablescapes! Her Rustic Al Fresco Summer Table Setting looks like the perfect transition from summer to fall.  I love the color scheme, double table runners and rustic metal and pine cone elements. Gorgeous!

Speaking of tablescapes, Lori from Dining Delight styled a lovely Green and Black Summer Table. The contrast of green and black combined with buffalo plaid makes for such a festive and happy dining experience! Couldn’t you picture this for a ladies brunch or teacher appreciation breakfast?

There are many variations of “farmhouse” decor these days and so many ways to use shiplap in the home. Tiffany from A Nod to Navy shares a beautiful modern farmhouse look in her tutorial on How to Install a Vertical Shiplap Backsplash. Isn’t her kitchen makeover stunning?

Now It’s Your Turn! Link Away!

Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Party Guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc). Feel free to link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • We ask that you please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE. (It just won’t work right on Pinterest.) However, you are encouraged to visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and on social media. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

  1. Thank you so much Crissy for featuring my Green & Black Summer Tablescape! I’m thrilled to see it highlighted here at your lovely party. I appreciate all your efforts in hosting every week.

    1. You’re welcome, Lori! It is such a festive tablescape, and I love the color combination you chose. I’m going to post it to my Facebook page as well if you’d like to see it there. I tried tagging you, but I couldn’t find a Facebook page for your blog. Let me know if you have one! I’m simply First Day of Home. Have a great week!

    1. My pleasure, Sandra! I’m glad you could join us again this week. I’m curling up (or melting?) indoors as well. It’s sweltering outside, so we’re all about indoor activities right now in Houston. Stay cool, my friend!
