Tuesday Turn About #6: Upcycled Decor and Sewing Projects
Hello, and welcome to Tuesday Turn About #6! This week, we had such a wide variety of posts and some really stunning projects! You’re going to love this mix of upcycled decor and beautiful sewing tutorials.
With Independence Day just around the corner, my family is planning to spend some quality time with relatives. We’ll have 8 kids together under the age of 12, so my boys are beyond excited!
For those of you in the U.S., how will you plan to spend the 4th of July?
MEET YOUR LINK PARTY HOSTESSES
Each week, I co-host this party with two of my favorite bloggers, Julie from My Wee Abode and Michelle from Thistle Key Lane. Be sure to visit each of their blogs and check out the different posts they selected as well.
Also, I encourage you to follow us on social media to stay in the know!

THIS WEEK’S LINK PARTY FEATURES
As a reminder, we choose three unique features on each of our blogs! Be sure to check out all three blogs to see our nine weekly features! We love getting comments from you and hearing how your weeks are going.
Also, we have a Tuesday Turn About Pinterest board that includes all of our weekly features, if you’d like to follow along.
Now let’s move on to our features of the week…
Bev from Flamingo Toes shared her oh-so-stunning Blooms and Bobbins Fabric Bag Set. The fabric was designed by another blogger/sewist, Melissa at MellySews. See what an awesome story there is here? Oooh, I love that rose-gold faux leather Bev used.
Marie from Interior Frugalista always amazes with her upcycled decor projects. Her Barrel Stave Flower Pot Holder was no exception. She makes me want to go find a barrel to upcycle! Look at how she aged a dollar store bucket to hang on the iron door knocker.
Back in the sewing room, Claire from Pillar Box Blue shared How to Make an Upcycled Woven Denim Pillow. What I love about this project is that we all have some spare jeans in our closet waiting to be rescued! Look at what a great boho chic gem you could make out of them!
We hope you enjoyed getting a bit of summer craft and upcycled decor inspiration. Don’t forget to stop by My Wee Abode and Thistle Key Lane to see our other weekly features!
Now It’s Your Turn! Link Away!
Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!
Party Guidelines:
- This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc). Feel free to link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
- We ask that you please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales.
- DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE. (It just won’t work right on Pinterest.) However, you are encouraged to visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
- By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and in social media. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.
Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you so much, Crissy, for your kind words and feature 🙂 Wishing you a funfilled 4th of July!
Same to you, Marie! Your projects always teach me something new about painting and upcycling! I hope you and yours had a wonderful 4th, too.
Lovely features, Crissy! Those totes from Flamingo Toes are amazing! And I would love to pair that denim pillow with a red and white backing for something patriotic!
Thanks, Julie! I really love all of the ideas we saw last week. It was hard to choose just 3!
Thank you so much for featuring my denim pillow. Hope you have a lovely week.
It was my pleasure, Claire! Your upcycling ideas are always so cool. I love the pattern you chose to coordinate with the denim, too. I hope you’re having a good summer!
Thanks for hosting! Sounds like you’ll have great fun on the Fourth!
