Gifts for Grill Masters

To achieve grilling perfection over an open flame, you need the right set of tools, from the rubs and sauces to the barbecue accessories.

If you’re not a grilling aficionado, you might have a hard time picking the perfect gift for a dad who runs the pit.

Below I’ve gathered gift ideas for grill masters. If you don’t find anything you like here, I also have great picks in my ultimate Father’s Day gift guide.

Grilling Rubs and Spices Packed with Flavor

The marinade, spices, and seasonings often make or break grilled meat, and these selections will take your grilling performance to the next level (scroll left/right). A new flavor or sauce on a slab of beef can really reinvigorate your meal routine.

Try my easy chicken fajitas recipe for a great make-ahead marinade!

Kits for Grill Masters

If you’re looking for the whole “kit and caboodle” for grill masters, you need to grab one of these trendy Man Crates. Many of these foodie kits sell out quickly, so you’ll need to hop on the bandwagon soon before they’re gone.

Prepping for the Grill

We use our grill prep trays every time we grill outside. The red nested malamine tray is for raw meat, while the black tray handles your cooked creations. This system helps promote food safety and prevents flavors from seeping into your containers. Winner!

The Best Way to Grill Fish

You haven’t really experienced a perfectly cooked salmon until you’ve grilled it with a cedar plank. My husband usually soaks his cedar planks in water for a couple of hours before placing the salmon on top and cooking it outdoors on our gas grill. (Is this a gift for him or for you, really?)

The Perfect Grill Basket for Veggies

This grill basket will help your chef cook flavorful veggies without scorching. I’ve been a mega-fan of the whole line of Grillaholics products. We own their stuffed burger press and grill mat, and their products never disappoint!

A Unique Way to Grill Food and Serve Tableside

Have you tried grilling with a Himalayan salt block like this before? It’s a unique way to cook (or chill) anything from seafood to burgers. You can also buy a salt block holder to make transporting the block a little easier and prevent cracking. For recipe ideas, there’s a handy salt block grilling cookbook sold separately.

The Griller’s Press

This cast-iron grill press is the key to squeezing out unwanted excess fats and oils from your proteins and getting those coveted grill marks for presentation. It also works great for making panini or grilled cheese sandwiches. Anyone getting hungry now?

The Key to Not Undercooking or Overcooking

A food thermometer is one of the best investments my husband and I have made! It’s an absolute necessity when cooking any type of steak, chicken, or fish. There’s no more guessing when your food reaches the proper temperature. This meat thermometer gives you an answer in seconds.

Grilling Safety Gear

Help Dad stay safe by the grill with this pair of Pit Mitt gloves. These gloves are heat resistant up to 475°F and look manly too! Note: You can buy a single mitt instead if you prefer.

For Indoor Smokeless Grilling

When you can’t take the grilling outdoors, this smokeless grilling station offers a great alternative. It comes with dual cooking surfaces — non-stick grill grates and a flat griddle plate. The ratings speak for themselves.

For Grilling on the Go

When your dad wants to take the grilling on the road, this Weber charcoal portable grill is the one to pack. It holds up to 6 burgers and has a lid that locks for easy transport. With many families wanting to take road trips this year, it’s the perfect companion for a camping adventure.

Personalized Grilling Gifts for Dad

Dad needs one of these personalized cutting boards to properly display his grilling creations. Nothing says “I love you” like your name carved in wood. Am I right? These wooden boards also come in handy when entertaining with the ultimate charcuterie board.

For another custom option, check out this personalized three-piece barbecue tool set.

Grill Cleaning Supplies

It’s a messy job, but somebody’s gotta do it! Choose from this highly-rated grill cleaning brush or cleaning bricks to help keep the grates spic and span to prevent residue from tainting the next batch of meat or veggies.

Dad is sure to love any of these grilling gifts. The hard part is deciding which ones to get this year! For more gift guides, check out my related posts below.

  1. Dang, when I saw that steak, I was like – oh my, this is what I need… A how-to on grilling my favorite entree in all the world. Oh well, this is good too! My dude needs a thermometer. Around here it’s either raw or burned. Great ideas! Loved your decoupage Dad sign too. Super sweet.

    1. Ha! Sorry about the bait and switch there, Cindy! I’m actually thinking of writing about grilling the perfect steak because my husband has been perfecting his technique this year. I, of course, have been encouraging him. Practice makes perfect! I’m not kidding when I say this thermometer is the best ever. My hubby actually requested one, and I use it almost daily. Thanks for stopping by, my friend!
