St. Patricks Day free SVG files to make DIY shirts

Today’s your lucky day because I’m sharing not one, but two free St. Patrick’s Day SVG files you’ll love! You can download these to make your own DIY St. Patrick’s Day t-shirt using a Cameo or Cricut. You’ll be the luckiest (and best looking) leprechaun around!

How to Make a DIY St. Patrick’s Day T-Shirt

Supplies

To create your very own St. Patrick’s Day shirt, you’ll need the following supplies:

  • Raglan t-shirt or other cotton shirt
  • Silhouette Cameo or Cricut cutting machine
  • Glitter heat transfer vinyl and/or smooth heat transfer vinyl (highest rated brand is linked)
  • Silhouette cutting mat (preferred)
  • Heat press or iron with ironing board
  • Free SVG files (download below)

If you’re considering investing in a machine to press t-shirts, I absolutely love this model I purchased on Amazon.

St. Patrick’s Day SVG Cut Files

Note: For the Silhouette Cameo, you’ll need the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition or Business Edition to import SVG files. With the Cricut, you’ll want to import your files as a vector upload.

I’ve designed two different SVG files you can download below. These are available for personal use only and may not be distributed, reproduced or sold under any circumstances.

“Luck has nothing to do with it!”

My design is a spin on the motto, “Not lucky but blessed.” It says that hard work, determination and blessings having everything to do with success, not just pure “luck.”

“I’m not Irish but bésame anyway!”

This is a nod to anyone with Latin heritage, playing on the phrase, “Kiss me, I’m Irish.” It celebrates St. Patrick’s Day…with a twist!

Instructions for Cutting SVG Files

These downloads work with both Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio (Designer Edition and above).

I walk through the complete steps using a Silhouette Cameo in my post Valentine’s Patterned HTV Shirt with Cameo.

There’s one important difference in using glitter or smooth heat transfer vinyl versus patterned HTV. You will need to mirror the image horizontally in your Silhouette Studio software (or Cricut Design Space) before you cut.

Washing and Care Instructions for HTV

  • Wait 24 hours before washing the shirt.
  • Machine wash inside out on gentle cycle.
  • Dry on normal setting or hang dry.
  • No bleaching or dry cleaning!
