Welcome to My Fall Home Decor Tour 2020
Even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, it’s already fall if you ask me! Today I’m joining several blogging pals to share a fall home decor tour with you. We hope you’ll find a few ideas that strike your fancy and bring joy into your home this season.

Hello Fall Home Tour
Well, hellooooo fall! Are you as giddy as I am about the promise of sweater weather and cozy everything?
My lovely friend Jennifer from An Inspiring Home has organized a wonderful tour of homes today, so if you’re not feeling the fall vibes yet, we plan to change that.
At the end of this post, you’ll find links to six other bloggers on the tour, so make sure you stop by to see what they have in store.
What I love most about these tours is seeing a diverse blend of styles and techniques. I always learn something new and walk away with many decorating ideas. I’m sure you will, too!
Fall Fireplace Mantel Decor
I can’t go through fall or winter without switching up my fireplace mantel. We don’t get many crisp fall days here in Houston, but that’s never stopped me from pretending to cozy up by the fire.
I told myself I would simplify my decor this year and go with a more neutral color palette. However, this wreath and garland hopped into my basket at Home Goods. Does that ever happen to you?
The details on this garland, with its mix of faux and dried foliage, left me smitten.
I hung the wreath on my reversible DIY farmhouse sign that I repurpose throughout the year. You can see a spookier version of the sign in my Halloween Mantel Decor post.
Truth be told, I bought a pair of these fall wreaths intending to swap out the twin magnolia wreaths in my breakfast room. Scroll on to see how they look there.

Living Room Fall Decor
For my living room decor, I focused on creating a focal point centerpiece on the coffee table. I also accessorized with a few fall pillow covers.
You may recognize some of these pillows from my fall decor color schemes a few years ago. I enjoy the texture and blue undertones that coordinate well with my everyday rug.
This year, I’m trying to add a few amber glass accents here and there, along with some natural woven textures and wispy stems. I’m all about the candles (real and flameless), too!

Breakfast Room Fall Decor
I wouldn’t characterize my style as “farmhouse” per se, but I definitely have a lot of farmhouse touches in our breakfast room. For this room, I used a cooler palette of peach and green with copper accents.
Remember the wreath over the fireplace mantel? I decided to see how two of them would look in this room hanging on my reclaimed door panels. Thoughts?
Here’s a closer look of my reclaimed wood door panels with the rustic fall wreath.
Fall Botanical Prints
Normally I have floral botanical prints on the wall in this room, but I decided to “fallify” this framed collage. I swapped in these vintage botanical fall printables instead. It’s a simple and easy way to add seasonal decor on a budget.
I’ve made this artwork available to my newsletter subscribers. You can sign up below if you’d like to receive these printables and other special offers each month.

Formal Dining Room Fall Decorations
As much as I love a light and airy fall color scheme, I’m also a fan of moody palettes.
My formal dining room naturally has a more serious ambiance given our dark blue walls. Adding a mix of rust, yellow and green helped to establish just the right moody vibe.
I’ve featured this pair of wreaths in my prior post on Fall Home Decor, but this time I removed the ribbons for a simpler look.
I also included a dough bowl filled with a variety of DIY white painted pumpkins, artichokes, pinecones and acorns. My twin boys keep hoarding acorns on our walks, and I just love adding their loot to my decor.
I found a tiered tray at Home Goods to help me tie together other galvanized metal accents in the room. Once we’re able to entertain again, I can use it to serve some fall treats to my guests.
When the real pumpkins begin arriving at my local stores, I’ll start adding them to my fireplace and front porch. (You can get a view of my fall porch decor from last year in the meantime.)
For now, I’m enjoying the fall touches in my home and hope you’ll have fun experimenting with a few fall vignettes, too!

Your tour was fab-YOU-lust! Love the color combo you chose. Did you have that lamp in the living room before ? It’s perfect. I’m going with simple this year too. Oh, and yes! Things just jump into my card at Home Goods too. I’m frequently shocked at the receipt! Pinned
Ha! You’re too funny, Cindy! I actually did have that lamp before and just coordinated around it for fall. I still think I have lots more room to simplify. I’m a struggling simplifier. Thanks for swinging by the tour!
Crissy, your home tours are always so inspiring to me! The first thing I thought of when I saw your mantel was ‘simple elegance’. Your living area looks neutral yet warm with some subtle pops of color! The lantern is a great touch to your coffee table. The botanicals in your breakfast room are perfect for fall, and I love that you changed them up. And your dining area is always a fave of mine with your lovely cabinets and buffet… that artichoke image is gorgeous, btw! Pinned, and off to see the others!
Julie, you always have the sweetest comments. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and attention to detail! Thanks for stopping by to visit and pinning as well. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the tour! Big hugs, Crissy
Hi Crissy! I remember falling in love with your home at Christmas a couple of years ago. Your fall home is just as beautiful. The garland and wreath would have fallen in my cart too. It looks perfect on your fireplace. The fall colors throughout your home are so pretty! Great job as always.
Thanks for the sweet and thoughtful comments, Sherry! You are so kind. I enjoyed being able to “hop” with you again and see your gorgeous decor as well! I’m amazed at your creativity!
Chrissy, I love all of your traditional fall decor. The colors are so rich, and you’ve created so a cozy vibe in your living spaces.
