Welcome to a Spring Tablescape Blog Hop

Today, I’m joining a fabulous group of bloggers to share a parade of spring tablescapes!

Our gracious and talented hostess, Chloe from Celebrate & Decorate, has gathered a wonderful tour of homes. You’ll find a complete list of participants at the end of this post, so I hope you’ll “hop” over to visit some of my friends when you’re done here!

If you’re here visiting from Intelligent Domestications, thanks for coming over! I’m sure you enjoyed Shirley’s spring table all set for tea.

Table Decor for Spring – Starting Point

We’ve all faced the challenge of the “naked table.” It sits there, waiting to be dressed for the next holiday or special dinner, but it’s hard to know where to start.

Below, I hope to highlight a few spring decor accents you can easily mix and match this season to create a table that’s ready to entertain without any wardrobe malfunctions.

Table Runner and Centerpiece

To begin, I decided on a simple blue and green theme with whitewashed accents. I found the perfect table runner made of blue ticking to get things started.

Spring table with garland, blue and green place settings, whitewashed wooden chargers, bunnies and farmhouse table runners and napkins.

The blue ticking coordinated perfectly with my dining room walls and area rug without coming off as “matchy-matchy.” (Normally, I have my DIY stenciled table runner here, but I’m enjoying the change.)

For the centerpiece, I used a simple ceramic bunny that I couldn’t resist at a local home decor shop. The pink tulips sticking out of his basket remind me of my boys coming off the school bus with objects protruding from their backpacks!

I decided to nestle the bunny among a green baby’s breath garland, fern sprays, and a touch of white gypsophila stems. I also added a couple of small boxwood topiaries and bird figurines on either side.

You may have noticed I also threaded some garland through my chandelier to create a “garden room” effect. (Can you tell I’m desperate for spring to arrive?)

DIY Cake Stand Accent

In a recent YouTube video, I shared a tutorial on how to create an easy DIY cake stand. I thought this made the perfect complement to my whitewashed candlesticks and wooden charger plates.

In my video, I showcased the most amazing-looking cupcakes on my stand, but I swapped out the cupcakes for a bird’s nest in my spring tablescape decor.

Spring Plates as Table Decor

These simple black-and-white salad plates had me hooked the moment I saw them at my favorite local craft store (Hobby Lobby).

Since I already had several DIY farmhouse flour sack towels from a previous post, I decided to coordinate my place setting by adding subtle blue plates.

The whitewashed wooden chargers also provided enough contrast with the salvaged wood table to set off the plates but complement the dining room chairs.

I’m really enjoying the subtle green and blue color palette for this spring table, but if you’re looking for more pops of color, you can always check out my Easter table decor or my latest spring table decor with pastels.

Pin it for later!

  1. Such a beautiful table to welcome Spring, Crissy! I love the soft colors you chose and the fresh garland is lovely. Your farmhouse table is simple, yet so elegant and beautiful. Those wood chargers, blue ticking runner, and the sweet bunny with the tulips are all wonderful details. So fun to be on this hop with you! Happy Spring, my friend!

    1. Thank you, my friend! I appreciate the kind words. This was a fun hop, and it’s nice to participate with you again. Doesn’t it feel good to have part of the home all ready for spring? We’re going to enjoy it a lot this week with an extra week of “spring break.”

  2. Your elegant table is perfect. Your soft blues and sweet bunny plates. Your Bunny vase and the wonderful ticking runner ( I have a pinterest board just for cotton ticking) and cotton stripe tea towel napkins are all so beautifully intertwined. Each complementing the other. I look forward to spring and all of the lovely new blooms in the garden. But, if I could, I’d hang onto winter just a little bit longer, I love staying in with a book and cup of tea on a cold snowy day. Pinned! It’s a pleasure to hop with you. Hugs!

    1. Hi, Katherine! Wow, a Pinterest board just for cotton ticking? That sounds like my kind of board! If we had snow in this part of the country, I’d want winter to last a little longer, too. However, I’m ready to jump into spring with both feet since my plants are on the verge of blooming again. I enjoyed hopping with you as well and hope you have a great start to spring! Hugs back!

  3. All of the spring green accents at your table are a perfect way to greet the season! The green baby’s breath down your table and in your chandelier gives a soft look to your table and above. The plates with the sweet bunnies on them are so versatile, I am sure you will use them again and again! The sweet little nest tucked up on the cake plate is a nod to the birds returning to so many areas as spring weather arrives. Thank you so much for joining in a hop and sharing your talents with us all!

    1. Oh, thank you for the sweet comments, Chloe! I really enjoyed being part of this tour with you and the other talented ladies. It’s nice to get an early start to spring and begin decorating the home to welcome the change of seasons. Thank you for coordinating such a great blog hop!

  4. I Love the casual elegance of your table!! You have created an atmosphere perfect to enjoy friends and family around the table as the days get warmer. I saw those cute bunny plates at Hobby Lobby as well, I was tempted, but I had already told myself- no more plates with bunnies, I already have several!! I loved they way you paired the, with the blue. Love all the greenery!! It all makes for a wonderful spring table. Happy Spring 🍀

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words, Ann! Ha ha…yes, I often have to tell myself to resist the temptation to buy more cute seasonal dishes. There are always so many beautiful options coming out each year! I hope you have a great start to spring!

  5. Crissy, love the soft blues and greens. The bunny with tulips is precious. Really love the bunny salad plates. They look like something that I would stencil. I love how you mixed in natural wood elements like the cake stand and candlesticks. The wood chargers are an amazing thing to have for all sorts of uses. BTW, what pattern are your glasses? They look similar to the ones we have. Pinning and checking out the YouTube video.

    1. Thank you, sweet friend! Yes, I imagine you could easily stencil some plates like that. I can’t wait to see when you do! I just checked the pattern on my glasses, and they’re Shannon by Godinger. They were a gift, so I’m not sure where they were purchased. Truth be told, I’m short a few glasses, and I believe I have some more coming as a birthday gift! (I have to get creative with the photography if you know what I mean.) Thanks for pinning and visiting on YouTube! Happy Spring!

  6. Hi Crissy, your blue and green Table is a cheerful and whimsical welcome to spring. The ticking runner is a perfect foundation for your cute bunny centerpiece with a basket of tulips. The bunny plates are adorable. It is a pleasure to meet you and blog hop with you. Happy Spring

The flowers are starting to bloom here, but I imagine you’re still going to see snow for a while longer! Happy Spring to you, too!

  9. Hi Crissy, What a charming Spring tablescape. There is something so beautiful about the simplicity of white, cream and hues of blues. It is both casual and elegant at the same time. I love the bunny plates and the use of natural elements like greenery and nests and the lovely tulips in the ceramic bunny and basket. There is always something so special and retro with the ticking striped runner and vintage striped napkins. A little bit of memories from the past. So lovely….Happy Spring.

    1. Thanks for your thoughtful comment, Marsha! Yes, I think you’ve captured the mood I was going for…a little sentimental, like a wink to Beatrix Potter or Alice in Wonderland. I’ve found myself feeling a little calmer and more organized with spring approaching. Perhaps it’s the better weather or the soothing color palettes. I’m wishing you a very happy start to spring as well!

      1. You are so right, Crissy…..I am so much more at peace when the sun shines and there is warmth in the air. The snow is melting, so I can’t wait for the first Spring rain when you can almost smell the soil and the flowers growing before you eyes. Enjoy every minute of it.

  10. Yes, I am so ready for spring too, Crissy! Your table is so pretty and I love the cute bunnies…on the plates and the centerpiece. Love the fresh springy colors too…Great hopping with you!
    Shelley

    1. Thank you, Shelley! All of the spring colors and decor really lift my spirits. It’s been a fun hop. Your table decor inspired me to get started on some embroidered napkins, by the way. I’ve had the supplies but haven’t had a chance to start! Happy Spring!

  11. Beautiful table Crissy! The bunny plates are adorable and like a lot of us, Hobby Lobby is a weakness. I am totally smitten with the distressed chargers. Our Pier 1 is closing 🙁 and I’m hoping I can find some still on hand. Each item fits together like they were made for each other and I wish you a Happy Spring.

    1. Thank you! Yes, I feel like the ladies at Hobby Lobby know me now. I’m sorry to hear about your Pier 1 closing. My husband and I were talking about that the other day. It’s such a shame to see a great retailer having to downsize. I find that they have such lovely seasonal items at a reasonable price. Happy Spring to you as well, Sandra!

  12. Hi Crissy, I love your table. So elegant. The bunny is so sweet with the tulips. Aren’t they popular this year? The bunny plates are soooooo cute. Love the greenery around the runner. The bleached wooden chargers and candlesticks are a perfect addition. A very happy spring table for your guests to enjoy. A pleasure to hop along with you.

  13. Chrissy, what a sweet spring table that is perfect through Easter. I really like the fresh, clean look of blue and white. Love the centerpiece and cake stand too. Those black and white plates are unique and special — I’ll have to keep a safe distance from Hobby Lobby lol! Always a pleasure hopping with you!

    1. Thank you, Debbee! I appreciate the sweet comments. Yes, be careful going near Hobby Lobby right now. There’s plenty of inspiration to be had there. Ha! Nice to hop with you again, too. Happy Spring!

  14. Crissy, I am so smitten with your bunny vase and sweet plates! Your spring table is simply lovely! Happy to be “hopping” with you today! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

    1. Thank you for the sweet comment, Cecilia! What is it about bunnies that just makes me smile? We’ve had some show up in our yard in real life, and they are just the cutest animals. Happy to be “hopping” with you too! Hugs, Crissy

    1. Thank you, Shannon! I appreciate the kind words. This hop put me in the mood for spring, so I’m giddy for the season to begin! Happy to be hopping with you again!

  16. Wow this is such a nice farmhouse style tablescape! The center arrangement is great and I love those bunny dishes! I spotted those too but had already picked up some other bunny dishes so I didn’t buy them. I like how you layered them on the wood charger. The bunny with the tulips looks so perfect! Great spring table!

    1. Thank you so much, Liz! There are so many great bunny plates to choose from out there! I appreciate your kind words. It was so much fun putting this spring tablescape together, wasn’t it? I’m now ready to embrace the new season, and I hope it comes quickly! Happy Spring!

  17. Crissy, you executed your blue & green tablescape like a pro! And yes, I did notice the garland in the chandy. 😉 I love how you managed a neutral effect but with subtle pops of color in the blues. Those dinner plates are really pretty! I think they look even prettier by the fact that the salads are black & white. It makes them really stand out. Your imagery of the bunny’s pack of tulips compared to your sons’ backpacks is easily visualized. So cute. Happy March and soon to be spring!

    1. Thank you so much, Rita! You really caught all the details! It was fun putting this one together. I can never decide if I like to decorate for spring or fall more. This time of year, I’m so desperate for some brighter, sunnier days, that spring always feels like a welcome change. I’m so happy to be hopping with you again to celebrate the season!

  18. Your color scheme is so perfect for a Spring table. I love your centerpiece with all the greenery and especially your blue and white ticking runner! So pretty! It’s a pleasure Hopping with you. Happy Spring!

    1. Thank you, Shirley! I was glad to find that runner, though I realize it might be a wee bit short for my table. It’s a pleasure hopping with you, too. I’m excited to meet new, friendly faces! Happy Spring!

  19. I can see why that bunny had to hop home with you Crissy, he is adorable! And those plates, soooo cute! Hobby Lobby is a dangerous place for me, too many things always follow me home 🙂 I love your farmhouse styling with the flour sack towels and bleached wooden chargers and candlesticks. Simple yet elegant and perfect for Spring!
